Catching Air!!

Yes, folks, he is 42, but young at heart. We have a nice little hill behind our house and my husband thought he would practice getting some air. I just had to run out and grab a few good shots! After several runs, he checks out the pictures and says, "boy, it felt like I got higher than that!". I took a few shots at landing too. The face expressions! I think his back paid the price the next day! Thanks to several snow storms in December, we have had so much fun this year with the snowmobiles. We have gone to Papa's and rode around the yard some and I took a four hour trip with Glen while the kids were in school. It was a nice lunch date.

Rockin Out!

This was the best Christmas present this year, Rock Band. Funny, we did not even know about this game until Glen talked to his sister, Kathy while we were Christmas shopping. She told us it was a hot item out west. We were struggling on what to get Brandon this year. The really fun thing was Brandon was out shopping with Glen on Christmas Eve and saw it at Best Buy. He came home and told me he found something to put on his list. You can imagine his surprise in the morning! The kids love it. You can plug in up to two guitars, the drum set, and a microphone. You get graded on how closely you can match your voice to pitch and how well you keep to the beat with the drums and guitar. It is very addictive! I have been caught a few times singing (and I cannot sing!).

My favorite is playing the drums. Little Glen gets right into it too. He just learned to play the guitar, that is a little more tricky, but he keeps trying. Lucy loves to sing. Brandon is amazing at the drums! He can do some songs on "hard". Definitely a great family gift!

Double Digits!!

She is so happy to finally be 10!! I can't believe it. The time flies so fast and it seems to be going faster as the kids get older! Lucy was so excited about her day. It started with a friends party in the afternoon. They made a craft, played outside and had chocolate fondue. Here is a picture at her family party. She got to giggling so much she could hardly blow her candles out! Some of her favorite gifts were webkins to add to her collection, two new church dresses, and an Ihome for her Ipod. At 10, her favorite activities are gymnastics, basketball, playing DS and webkins. She also still love littlest petshops and can't wait till summer when her cousins will be up to play with her.

We're Playing Basketball

This is our Brit. She is trying so hard. She did not play last year, and before that it was rec ball and not so competitive. She has learned quickly and is doing much better as the season is progressing. She scored her first points in last night's game. One basket and then one free-throw. I was so happy for her. Her team has only won 2 games so far, but they are playing so much better now than the beginning of the season. As you can see, we need to work on her dribbling... She is getting more aggressive with trying to steal the ball and keep it! Glen is working on drills the kids can do over the summer to improve their game!

Lucy is playing too. She plays rec ball, but they do keep score and she scored 6 points at her last game. Luckily all her games are on Saturday morning, so not to conflict with all the others... I miss our lazy Saturdays! Lucy plays point guard, but is also seen underneath getting as many rebounds as she can. I think she will be a tough one! She practices hard and is trying to get over two handed shots and double dribbling. At 10 I think she is doing pretty well.

It's Time for BASKETBALL

This is our life right now. Basketball. Sometimes four games a week. I have decided I need to invest in one of those seats to make the benches more comfortable. I thought those were only for old people... now I think they are for those of us who sit on benches at least 8 hours a week! Brandon is starting for the Maranacook Freshman team, he also swings up to JV and plays usually the fourth quarter on that team as well. Good experience for him. The game moves along so much quicker on the JV team. He is doing very well and is usually the high scorer for the Freshman team. We did have to make a trip to the ER this season for 8 stitches above his eye. Typical boxers cut from an elbow. You can see Brandon just to the right of #15. He made that shot!
